Help, I have had this Oto for a few monnths now, and have just last week retransferred it to a different tank, which is probably why it is sick now, but I do not see anything unusual in terms of tell tale signs of diseases.

My water conditions are

pH6
Ammonia0
Nitrite0
Nitrate10
gH 40
kH <10
(all in ppm)

I know that my water is a bit soft, could it be factor affecting this behaviour? HELP!

Did you match ph and temp as oto's are very funny with water quality.
They need to be kept in groups to be happy.

if it's the only otto you own, get an other..... They hate being alone, you don't need a school of them but at least two to make them less timid. And as long as your tank is well established and the water levels don't change much they should do great.... I had two in a unfiltered/unheated (VERY planted, well established) tank for 4-5 months and they thrived..... I find them to be VERY active, playfull, and allways eating....Hope that helps........ :fish:
