Hello, just thought I'd post my observations and wondered if anyone else had the same thing going on in their tank.

Over time, my otocinclus has started acting like a cory! I have 5 corys that all like to live in one half of the tank - on top and under a large bridge ornament and in the planted area behind this. Little Oto has, over time, started hanging out in this same area, and chilling and swimming around just like another cory! They all seem very happy with this arrangement and have accepted the oto into their group.

It is so funny to watch and very endearing! I was just wondering what everyone elses experiences where of a fish thinking it was another species?

Yes, this happens often when schooling or social fish are kept individually or in smaller groups.

My female guppy does this. Unfortunately due to her being bullied by other guppies she is the only one in there. She swaps around and will sometimes hang out with the cories, but at other times will follow my harlequin rasboras!
She tried to follow my betta but he wasn't havin any of it and flares at her now when she gets too close.
I would get more guppies to keep her company but I couldn't cope with the breeding.
I only kept her because she slipped into the bag when she was a tiny baby when I was buying other fish and she's been through a lot and I couldn't bear to give her up!
Amy xx
