I have got a 55 gallon tank and i was hoping on getting an oscar but i hear 75 is the minimum for one oscar but other people say a 55 is the minimum. I know a 75 will be better but will one be ok in a 55.
my tank is a juwel vision 260.

Why would you have one 'ok' in a 55 when you know one would be 'better' in a 75?

They're big fish and need a lot of room. 55 is the very bare minimum recommended, but larger is so much better. Much like people may suggest danios are ok in a 2ft tank, but the difference in them when they are kept in a 4ft tank is noticeable.
