I would really like to get an oscar. If I kept them in a ten gallon would they not get huge?How many should i get? What sucker fish to keep with the Oscars? Should I buy a larger tank?

that would be with no tankmates or décor.. pretty boring and still quite crampt. and you'd need a very strict water change routene when it's fully grown.

I would not do any less than a 50gallon for one oscar. Oscars can grow 1-2" a month for the first year you have them. I have a 120gallon with an oscar, female convict, and a firemouth.

Since you won't be sure if you get a male or female oscar, it would be best for you to get at least a 75g tank for an Oscar. Males can get to 14" easily and up to 16" if kept in good water and fed healthy.
