Could i put a oscar in this tank http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aquarium-Aqua-One-980-/320654461629?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item4aa87ecabd#ht_500wt_1156

Most people agree that 50 gallons is the absolute minimum size tank for 1 oscar. So yes at a push you could fit a single oscar in that tank. Oscars also require heavy filtration and have high maintenace requirements. Especially in a tank that size.

Ok I will bear the filtration in mind but I don't mind the maintence as long as the oscar wouldn't bite lol.

Hey i'm making no promises. One of my lutinos bites me all the time.

But i assume that they dont hurt.

I have to disagree with Uriel (sorry!) and say no this tank is not big enough for an oscar. 55gal absolute minimum but ideally 75gal is needed, this tank is about 47gal. An oscar 'could' live in it but then my apple snails 'could' live in a soggy matchbox.

Have to agree, that tank is too small for Oscars sadly.

To be honest i have gone of the thought of having a larger tank with a oscar in it thanks for the replies though
