Hello, My ornate birchir is currently 5" TL - eats BW, Beef heart, catfish agle wafters, and even Tetra Prima discus food!
And he is an 'Exeption' too then.. he has 2 main hides of which i can see his tail, when food is about hes out scouting/hunting it down on the substrate.. Lovley lil'fella..

another question what substate do you need?
would gravel be ok?

Most people reccomend sand because they are very messy eaters and could easyily swollow gravel

Oh, and I fed my 4 delhezi's sinking carnivore pellets without a problem, just takes a couple of weeks weaning
