Ordered My Archers!

There's plenty of great cichlid species out there. He's pretty bummed but that would be a pretty expensive tank to watch fall apart

exactly...and even im really kinda hesitant to get this group of archers....usually the fish id buy are under 5$ not 100$ ....cant seem to get over this...

Lol I was hesitant buying 5 cardinal tetras because they are $3.29 lol. (I got the first 5 then got 5 more 3 days ago on sale for $1 each) I don't want to spend more than $10 on a fish. Lol Id kill myself if I had marine lol. All the cool fish are so much...

hahahaha i know right?! All the pop and ma type stores have all their schooling fish for like 3$ a fish...and its really annoying to get large groups with 9$ being half of a school...or 1/3 depending on how large your wanting to go..lol

Ooh I got these at petco with petsmart being $3.99 each but I got 5 on sale for $1 each. The LFS that's not a petstore sells cardinals for $8.49 a pop. That I couldn't figure out why? Who'd buy them

Thursday is when their getting in the 5 i ordered, but i have some tank maintenance to do first, and am getting a flying fox for my tanks stock and to help out with the algae outbreak...also have to build the archer shooting range with pvc and mesh....

But once thats done yes i will take pictures of my tank finally...lol

Not only that, but also the fact that when i went in last they had Toxotes jaculatrix, and not the Toxotes microplepis as i had seen before. Mostly because these are two of the 3 mainly imported species, but are often imported just under "Archerfish", not by specific species.

Now that must be really annoying after your long wait, they don't really fit with your plans, do they! Toxotes jaculatrix are a close second to my favorite species of archer and are actually the one we seem to see least of at the moment around here despite being the 'common' archer. Send them this way

eh yeah, so hopefully the ones that are coming in today are Toxotes microlepis...

uuugh well at least you know you have a good LFS when the one employee you always talk too actually announces how he is trying to get not only the archers in, but the correct species! So hopefully he will have them in on this Thursday, as last Thursday his suppliers didnt have any archers...

Oh! But in the meantime ive built my archer fish shooting range frame! just need to spray paint and zip tie the screen on
