hello

three months ago i had a real problem with my tank at that time i had just started the tank up
and lost my first three fish, month later i found two fry which are now to healthy nearly fully grown orange finned zebra danios, thanks to their survival they have helped to balance the tank now that they are bigger fish i want to introduce more fish i really love guppys could some one please tell me if orange finned zebra danois willl get along with Guppys as i know these fish are peacefull and the two zebras are very lively :)

How many gallons is the tank and how many/what types of fish do you have in it in total plus any other inhabitants (you should fill out you profile with this sort of info too ;) )?

I hate to say it, but 10gals is a bit on the small side for a danio tank due to their high activity levels, you are better off upgrading to a 15-20gal tank at least and adding another 4 Orange finned danios to their numbers as they fish that are sociable and do best in groups of 6+ .
Some people keep guppies with danios, but i would say it depends on the variety of the guppy- guppys are being bred to have longer and longer tails now days, almost like bettas, their abnormally long tails weights them down and makes them being prone to being nipped by faster and more active fish like danio's.

The shorter tailed varieties of guppys are very hard to come by now days- while guppys prefer very planted tanks with slow/medium strength current, danios prefer tanks with fast/strong well oxygenated cool current and big open spaces to shoal in; so the two fish, even in their ideal habitat requirements, are not really suited to each other at all unless you go for a strong all-female short tailed group of guppies.

If you want color in the tank but fish that are more suited to danio life, standard platies make much better tank mates for danio's but they still come in a variety of colors :good: .
I would definately advise upgrading your tank in the near future as it is really too small for danio life, the longer the tank the better really. For now i would either get 4 more danios or 3 platies, but not both until you have upgraded the tank   .
