Assuming you planted heavily and did water changes daily, would it be viable to keep say 4/5 cherry shrimp in such a tank long term... 🤔

I've just set up a 1.5 gallon pico tank and I am on the fence as to what I'd put in there (if anything at all) definitely too small for fish but shrimp/snails... maybe? I have a big colony of cherries in 2 tanks and they are happy just to be searching for food often in just a small area but its our perception of how much space we want to give them rather than whats fair... I did ponder moving a few shrimplets to it and moving them out as they grow but not sure...

I think I'm going to keep mine plant only and enjoy it from that perspective - which is what I intended.

This is mine..1 gallon, maybe 1.1. Set it up about a week ago for a laugh to use as alternative to bedside lamp... Plants growing well.

My first ever attempt at a scape.. If you call it that.. 🤣

Put a snail 🐌 in it today.. This shows the scale.. It's about the same width as my mobile phone

Nice! Plants are looking great - mine is scaped but not planted yet... the light has only just arrived but can get stuff in there now. Going to plant a lot of hair grass and some small anubias and bucephalndra species on the rocks. Also considering Myriophyllum Guyana too but not sure how well it will fare...

I like that.. ! Reminds me a bit of a valley on my trek to Annapurna base camp many moons ago. Can't wait to see it planted...

I think 5 cherry shrimp is pushing it a little, but 3-4 cherry shrimp should do well in there. It's a nice tank.
