I got all the drops of water out first, it's just residual moisture that I don't want to blow my filter if I plug it in. I'll risk it before bed though.
Is that an after-market plug end, or one that comes with the heater?If the screw hadn't sheared, it would be easier to open it, but as that's not an option, have you tried propping it up so the water can drain out?

Edit to add - brands like Eheim come with 2 pin European plugs so we have a 3 pin adapter over the plug. These are also hollow and close like a clamshell over the European plug with the two halves held together with a screw.
It did, thanksI thought that since a picture paints a thousand words, showing how hollow our plugs are would help explain the problem
It's how we cleanse the gene pool....@Essjay I enjoyed that the diagram says not to take it apart without unplugging it first. I wonder who the idiot was...
