I just received my order for 26 fish and 20 of them were DOA. It was a reputable company too, not a fly by night operation. I won’t name them until I see if they will rectify the situation but I was highly disappointed. Anyone have any luck with ordering online?

yeah... sometimes the luck with online fish ordering isn't the best

What a disappointment! That is so frustrating. I have ordered live fish in the mail once, and all 6 guppies arrived in perfect health

Never have ordered anything but plants online, been too terrified of exactly what happened to you, but OW! I really hope it gets rectified, and my condolences! Poor guys!

You are in the US, and I know that there's been a bit of craziness in the mail system recently, so perhaps the fish store was okay but the mail service messed up. I don't like the idea of ordering online for fish because I know the way those packages can get slung around and subjected to drastic temperature changes, regardless of LIVE FISH or HANDLE WITH CARE on the sides.

What kind of fish were you getting?

This can be really frustrating, especially when you were really wanting that species. Not fish but I've had an experience with a species of UK moth where all of them were DOA. Wasn't pleased.

Ordering online is definitely a gamble, but with reputable companies it tends to be less of one. But unfortunately we tend to fall out of favour with luck sometimes. So sorry to hear about that.

sorry about your moths....

It was just over a year ago now actually! Saturnia pavonia, the small emperor moth. They're very beautiful, so I might try and get them again one day haha.
awesome, they're so cute, i personally cannot keep stuff like that, i am scared of butterflies and moths..

Sorry for your loss... what company was it? I would send an email, or complain profusely on their website.
