Looks cool and cute but not really good for the hamsters as a lot of what is being fed lacks in nutrients they need. The best thing he is doing is pasta but even that should be in small quantities. Just because a critter likes something does not mean that it is healthy. Just about any dog will chow down on chocolate and many will love grapes but both are toxic to dogs.

Just did a quick search on hamster feeding and it looks like a minimum of 50% of the feed should be pellets designed for the things. The rest should be veggies, nuts and fruits. It really looks like this guy loves his beasties but he is not helping their health or it may so seem. Hamsters are rodents and will eat just about anything to fill their stomachs but that does not mean that all they eat is good for them.

Sorry, I was probably overly negative with my previous post. I just worry about critters being fed stuff that is not natural to their diet. Take my cichlids. They would be totally happy being fed nothing but meal worms but it would not be healthy for them as they also need veggies. I just go a bit off the wall when it comes to feeding critters...

Have to agree. We feed my sister's hamster 60% pellets and 40% nuts, fruits, and veggies. Even though he'd be happy eating nuts all day long..... lol
