I have a plant in my puffer tank that has roots growning off it if I want to propagate it do I just cut it where the roots are then plant it Thanks Pat

It depends on the plants, can you post a picture?

just cut it in half and plant both ends in the substrate, the crown of the plant will develope roots and the root part of the plant will develope crowns(new shoots) but will look a bit ugly at first, if the plant divides into 2 stems remove one and plant it then cut the larger one in half and plant it.

Ok ps I was just at pets mart picking up my fish they held for me I seen a co2 unit there for 10 and 20 gal tanks would it be worth getting one or are they crap. Pat

Some kits work very well, depends on the kit.

Sam

Its just a small kit kind of like the diy pop bottle one . I quess ill run up and try one I can always take it back up within 30 days if I dont see an improvement with my plants.

The yeast based fermentation kits work well, the nutrafin is tried and tested for smaller tanks.
