got a lonely female guppy and too my surprise dropped some fry yesturday and this little one is the only one i managed to find, i thought she was pregnant but not convinced as her stayed thin but gravid was very deep. she completely clear with yellow bars on her tail and the father is a leopard lyretail, aint got the father any more, strange as looking at the colouring its like a tux with marble markings and a yellow front half with a slightly larger tail than ive seen with my previous guppy fry and huge eyes as you can see

Thats a good pic u got of a fry, better than anything i've tried to get befor.

As for the colouring i'm sure it's gonna develope in to a 3/4 black to have that much colour at that age.

oh wow, talk about interesting..:look: :look: That should be one funky looking guppy when he grows up possibly! :good:

TBO i just got sick to death of waiting for a good pic that now i just aim the camera at the object and click like crazy :hyper: then take each shot to my software and search for a decent one, most of the time theres only a couple of good shots out of about 80 crap ones
saves spending hours sat in front of the tank scaring the living daylights out of the fish lol

aw such a cute lil fry, never seen one come out that colour so young before
:good: yeah me neither, i only saw it b/c of the black part otherwise it wouldve gone un- noticed and been chomped like the rest prob have

to say the truth that looks like a molly or a ballon molly because mine are like that yellow then to black, and normally guppy fry don't colour until i think a 3-4 weeks.

but hey congrats

dont say that cause it did cross my mind, that it was a hybrid (golly) but my female molly went last week so it cant be molly fry and she wasnt due to drop for 2 weeks and i noticed that my guppy had dropped something cause her gravid had gone but saying that my silver mollie male was in the tank with her for a little while but that was after i did selective breeding with my lyretail and her

yer suppose you sure ur old molly didn't give birth to one or two becuse really u don't get guppys which are yello than black. all of mine look the same i used to have guppy fry and it came out plain. have u cleaned the hole tank out since u got rid of the molly because fry can hid and are super fast my guppy were a week old and that molly looks a week or so old, i'll take a pic of mine or show one of my younger one.

close up but poor buggar died about week old

just born u can see they look the same and are quite simular i doubt its a cross breed i remember reeding a post saying its almost inpossible and the gene will be too weak and the simularites are to different. the other molly fry could of been eated?

yeah i have, i breed on a weekly basis, well my fish do i aint got enough time for myself :hyper:  and the male was a yellow leopard lyretail and the mother is a silver with yellow twin bars on her tai, possible endler cross she might be as she came with some other fish i had that dropped endler cross's

but would love to see yer pics as fry pics are awesome i think

blimey i see what you mean, the colour is identical but what about the body shape its typical of a gup but has unusally large eyes and larger than normal tail, this is turning quite interesting. it cant be a molly trust me on that one the timing is wrong, noticed the pink belly on the pic, that is also typical of a 1 day old fry.

mine are quite big now about 1 to a half cm but aare quit fat because they are ballon molly fry i take some pic tomorrow i have eat and the mother is yellow/black and the male was white. all my fry are yellow and black but one is pure black

meant to say that this is her first drop as she was only a fry when i got her with the older ones

i think you may have discovered a new breed of fish lol
