On A Scale Of 1 To 10...?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to be a fish keeper/Breeder. Not for those who own 1 Betta fish or just a pet guppy. Someone who runs a community tank, marine tank, or breed fish. I would say 9.

Depends. I say its like a 8, because Im having a algae problem, so Im having to fix that, yet once its over, it drops to a 4. Just water changes and feeding.

have 2 agree with a comment above depends wot species your trying 2 breed general community tank would say 2 for keeping maybe 4 for breeding as u have 2 keep the fry alive lol

plecs and cory's would say 4 for keeping all the way upto 6 to 7 for breeding for simle reason of getting em started and then keeping the fry alive and well

I'd say 2-4 for basic freshwater stuff, provided you get a good start - a bad start bumps it up pretty quick. After the basics, which can really be covered in a few pages of reading, there are reams of research, but you don't really need to know all of it yourself, just what's necessary for your own fish.

It can get as difficult as you want, though. If you get into highly sensitive fish that rarely thrive in captivity, or try breeding fish that have rarely or never been tank bred, the sky's the limit.

to be on the safe side,i say 5,but only because some weeks are easy,some are a little more difficult.i will give an example,i had my kribs for a year and half,no problems,happy,healthy,then one day i notice lavernes colorings not right,wilder tells me it's septicimia and tells me what meds i need so i rush out and get it and then have to play the waiting game.is she going to be alright,is she going to die,i had to treat her for 2 weeks and thanks to wilder she is back to normal.my point is that sometimes it's easy,how hard it can be depends on how much you care about your fish.
