IMO if you can't take critism and other peeps advice and listen and have an open mind what others are saying then you'll always feel hard done by...

At the end of the day,its up to the individual to take advice when offered, whether good or bad.
I dont mean to dig,but take you set up for instance, peeps have told you that your tank is not suitable for the fish you keep, but you insist that being a fish keeper for 8 years that you know better, but you are in fact you're stunting the growth of your fish in the meantime...

Its all trial & error with fish keeping and we all make mistakes at one time or another,so being able to ask for advice & getting different opinions is all part of the process.

Just because you dont like what someone says or correct what ones saying doesn't mean to say its a dig...just giving their opinion on what they think is a better solution...

sigh... i'm gonna leave the forums behind me now. to many people depressing me and making me feel unwanted cya guys.
Aww, mate; it's not that we don't want you, we just want to see you with happy, healthy fish in appropriately sized tanks and to be giving out good advice to the n00bs...
they make me feel like a noob myself

This is a reason alot of people don't post on this forum and only read, they're scared of what people will say about there stocking/tanks - wrong but i think it's true, i was abit like that when i joined lol.

Although i've seen alot of people posting topics on here about there bad stocking and most have taken the advice and sorted it out & enjoyed there tank.
Noticed from a few of your topics you just put on an abit of an attitude and didn't bother with the good advice or for the health of your fish.

Catfish! You cannot "dude" a lady, come on! You gotta try a little harder, check her profile! Just be careful shes knocking on a bit, (shes a whole year older than me!) they are more wise to our cunning ways...well...mine anyway. Shes also from Fife, which could mean she is quite scarey too. Tread carefully.

Its purely a reaction to the way you conduct yourself on the forum.

You could do what i do and it might help a little.

Search the forum for all the active ladies on here and private message them with a picture of yourself. If like me you have chiseled abs, bulging biceps and a toned body you will instantly have dozens of lady admirers. Also, comment on what lovely fish they have, perhaps how their Betta is such a cutie, how wonderful their fish tanks look, it always helps.

Then, for the men, talk about sport and if the opportunity arises drop in a few sexist comments which they will chuckle at, but nothing too naughty that upsets the ladies.

You then become a diamond geeza to the lads and the ladies will think of you as a cheeky but lovable rogue.

Trust me, you can get away with anything then, including leaving dead fish in a tank for too long.

But Most importantly, dont cry in front of any of them, its not manly, under no circumstances use the "" face.

Man up.

Ahhhh, brings back memories...I think the best pickup line ever used on me was telling me I had a cute betta.....hehehe, and how gorgeous my tank was lol.

And I joined this forum quite awhile after I had started my first tank and since then have soared with the hobby under the advice of those around me on the forum. I have only been keeping about a year, and I have some extremely happy healthy fish and I am constantly learning, just like everyone else, "noob" or not
