I can special order the T6s from a wholsaler, I'm not sure on the K rating but I think they are around 10,000.
I'll check on that first.

That will be whiter than most other K rated bulbs like the 14K or 20K, but you can always supplement with Actinics to get a blue you like. Good to see you thinking about marine Paul!

That it is (or is it immature? ). I can remember when the marine section was devoid of idiots, trolls and all the cretins that make the top half of the board so difficult at times. Sadly the popularity of marine fishkeeping is causing them to gravitate down here

Back to topic, 10,000K is a pretty good colour to start from, it's what my halides are.

Deffinately, adding blue via actinics to supplement a 10K is easier than having a strong blue/purple 20K and trying to whiten the look after you find it too much. Ive got a 10K wainting for my MH unit.
