i don't think that they have the same thoughts as people
i don't think they care if it is male or female
they don't chose to be straight or gay
an urge is an urge and if there are no women around
they only go for females first due to reproductive instinct....

That's true in most cases. Animals that aren't housed with others of the opposite sex are probably pretty desperate at times
However, that's not always the case. Anyone who raises and breeds sheep knows that there are certain rams one wants to steer clear of, as they have no interest in breeding with females. They will, however, pester other rams
