MY FILTER JUST SUCKED UP MY LITTLE FRY!!! I TURNED IT OFF RIGHT AWAY AND HE CAME OUT, now he's swimming in spins, going in circle, what should i do? will he die? ;_; omg i'm so scared to turn the filter back on, oh god.... *cries*

He's probably just scared. Don't shake him up anymore and leave the lights off. Transport him into a safe tank fast. He will be okay. Don't worry. :)

if hes swimming in circles, hes probably faced some quite bad internal damage, to do with the swim bladder, not inflating or deflating.

prepae for the worst, if hes going in circles like truck said hes got bad internal injuries. hes not gonna make it. to prevent this happening again, cover the filter inlet with a sock or stocking to prevent fry being sucked in :)

I use thick nylon tights in my fry tank. You can pick up a block of filter foam if you would feel safer that way.

I always like to use filter foam. It has the open cell structure needed for good water flow because it is made to be used as part of a filter. I take a piece of filter foam made for a popular filter and cut a slit in one end, then I slip it over the filter intake to keep my fry from being sucked up. It looks like this when sitting on my desk.

It looks like this after it has been on my filter inlet for about a month.

The sponge media not only keeps the fry from being sucked up, it resists blocking the flow by having a very large surface compared to the surface you get with a panty hose or netting on the inlet.

Hows he doing now?
i'm not really sure, it's really hard to tell them apart, i have about 30 fry in their own 10 gallon tank, he started swimming normally after a bit, and than i lost him in the crowd, there is just so many fry, D:

but i hope he's okay, i don't see any dead fry.

Well, if you can't tell him apart from the rest of the fish then he is probably going to be fine.
