Omg!... I Did It Again....

Well.... since last talking to you, I have subsequently bought an aquarium ornament... (the ornamental skull of a cow for about $30), which (amazingly) I can use..... (for my BN's to breed in)..... 6kG's of "Amatikulu" Tropical fish Flake food for around $100.... (is this any good)??..... A tube of Silicone sealer for around $28)...... (I have a few cracked tanks)..... and 2 tickets to a concert of U2 (at a venue some 300kM away) who is currently touring the country (for around $950)..... I've heard of them, but not my favourites).....

The good thing however, is that I've declined numerous temptations to buy some very important things..... (willpower)!!!.... an Ice making machine - 15kg's of ice per day! (for $150).... man!!!.... can I use that, but I was strong & declined as well as several stamps and other useless things.... One of these days, I'm gonna stare all of those deals in the face and not subject!

New additions to my list of useless items purchased on e-bay..... Last night, I bought 50 x AAA batteries (I'll find something to buy where I can use those - apart from the TV remote), a 100mW green lazer pointer.... (I hear they are potent and they use AAA batteries)Lots of 25mm thick polystyrene sheets (those I can use constructively under my tanks)..... Chinese Juniper Bonzai tree seeds (I see now that they require about a year to germinate) and one of those coiled hoses with spray head included.....

I'm getting more selective and (sometimes) even get stuff I can use.

If only we could all purchase everything that we think looks good!

Go into your router, block the web page, change your router password to some random letters and numbers that you will never remember.

Job done.

Heh...

I have a 50mw and 250... they are fun, I would advise using eye protection to prevent any damage as they are rather dangerous especially if they are cheaper and don't come with an IR filter. The milliwattage relates to the total power of all wave lengths of light rather than the wavelength of the desired light. If it's a dodgey one you may find it can be almost all IR light which can cause serious damage to your eyes.

To have fun with it... begin with trying to etch your name on black plastic, then burn some holes in shopping bags... progress to popping balloons. I managed to pop one from around 15 meters away.... some colours will pop with ease but other's won't. Use a black marker pen on the balloon and it will pop from a mile away....

Failing all that use it to point at the stars, if a plane comes you better put that thing away!

Perhaps you should block your eBay account for a while though... the Icemaker sounded like a beautiful deal over the U2 concert tickets though.

Last night, I won a bid on two of these power (magnetic) armbands reputed to improve your balance and a whole lot of other stuff.....

Personally I do not think they are any good, but I got them at a bargain price..... Just how popular are they in your area, do any of you have one and do you think they really work???

Lud, seriously man, you have a problem!   Although I do understand, I went through a phase where I'd watch the auction until the very end, put in a rediculous bid about 10 seconds before it ended and then enjoy the major headrush when I won.  plus sometimes, a bargain really is a bargain! What you need to do afterwards is sell it on at the price it should be, make yourself some profit back.

Sounds like you have a bit of a problem haha I'm bad for buying numerous bits and bobs for my tank and never using them!

Thats a great idea. Lud, why don't you sell the stuff you have on for the price it's worth. You could build a nice pocket up!

Ha!,... I'm back in record time, and this time... I'm the proud new owner of 6 x standard 3ft tanks for only $257 for the lot (some of them even have gravel in)...... A very useful item this time, only 3 small problems......

1).... My fishroom is full to the brim and I have no place to put them (+, I've got about 38 empty tanks at the moment.

2).... The guy lives about 400km from me (800km return trip) and it is "collect only"..... and he is selling them because he is moving on Saturday -

3)..... I have a sedan car and will fit maximum of 3 of those tanks in my car....

Now I need to improvise in record time as well..... still have no clue how I'm going to get the stuff to my house.....
