You don't know the half of it......

You should have joined in. I reckon you'd be very good. In fact, you'd be awesome. Well, almost.......

OK, so I have them in an intermediate tank which water is 50 / 50 so that's good, but they need to come out tonight - there's no filteration in there.
What methods are there to avoid the old to new tank syndrome? Do you think a little Epsom salt would help?

I have taken 2 videos I hope to post tomorrow of Neons with their "jaws" crusted in white and another fish with twisted spine and missing or torn gill on one side. I think the twisted spine fish is just being picked on by the same species. Neons, I need to know whatthe infection is, so if you have any idea?

edited to say, I put the 2 Neons down for humane reasons, but ill post the video tomorrow to find out what that was.

OK guys, here's the 1st of 2 videos. These were filmed when the fish first arrived in bags, so please don't flame me for the fish, the murky water or the conditions.

I would really like to know if you would keep this fish alive.

You also catch a glimpse of a White Mollie with darkened edges to the gills.

On a positive note, these fish all survived the transfer to a clean tank by keeping in 50 old, 50 new water for 36 hours.

P.S. I know the Danios are over-fed and fat too.

Here is the second video of the suspected Mouth Fungus on two Neon Tetras. I would like confirmation of the disorder,
to know whether it can pass to the other species and about transferring some species to other tanks after quarantine:

Maybe I'm not seeing what you are but the danio with the bent spine isn't necessarily sick, maybe just bent! The neons look like mouth fungus to me.

Glad to hear that all is going well so far :)

Bent fish rarely recover and the bending often gets worse.

Mouth Fungus

Symptoms: White cottony patches around the mouth.

Mouth Fungus is so called because it looks like a fungus attack of the mouth. It is actually caused from the bacterium Chondrococcus columnaris. It shows up first as a gray or white line around the lips and later as short tufts sprouting from the mouth like fungus. The toxins produced and the inability to eat will be fatal unless treated at an early stage. This bacteria is often accompanied by a second infection of an Aeromonas bacteria.

Penicillin at 10,000 units per liter is a very effective treatment. Treat with a second dose in two days. Or use chloromycetin, 10 to 20 mg per liter, with a second dose in two days. Other antibiotics can also be effective. Kanacyn (kanamycin) will treat both bacteria at once. Maracyn (erythromycin) is effective against C. columnaris, and using Maracyn 2 (minocycline) in conjuntion with it will treat the Aeromonas bacteria as well.

Despite my poor filming, you're going to have to trust me his gill "cover?" is completely missing on one side.
