ok started fishless cycle

i had a look at my fish flakes in the breeding trap, (i keep em in there so they dont make a mess of the tank and its easy to take out in add fresh flakes etc, when i noticed that all the flakes had broken down so much, and that there were like strands of whitsh slimy stuff coming from the trap into the tank, just dangling there, i cleaned it out and put more flakes in there.


is this slimy stuff bad or is it just broken down food or sumthing? coz some of it got out into the tank.

amoonia between 1 - 2 n nitrite 0.25

That's right mate! some of the people think that because I'm new here that anything I suggest must be rubbish!
I come up with a logical suggestion and it's trashed by the so called experts with lots of posts!
Anything new and orginal is dismissed without explanation because they haven't done themselfs and they are self proclaimed experts of tank cycling.

These are the types of people that think urinating anywhere other than in a toilet is discusting and aren't open to any kind of experimentation in their lives what so ever!

ok its been about a week and 2 days and now my ammoia is up to 4, and nitritr about 2.

so everything seems on track, unless theres sumthing i dont know

anyway ill keep updated, just incase theres sumthin not right, that u guys pic up.

hello everyone i have got 2 say you lot are great i have been sitting here
laughing about the wee thing which all yr comments have really cheered up my morning but honestly now it is true about the wee my dad done this 2 sort out his koi pond and it worked a treat.
