hes not near the filter, i checked as much of the gravel as i could reach and hes not on the floor :(

where has he gone? :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

ive checked on the floor around the tank. ive checked inside the internal filter

how the hell can i loose a long eel? lol hes gotta be somewhere!

Have you removed bogwood/rocks etc.?
I wouldnt worry, as long as he aint in the filter or on the floor, hell be just hiding, just make sure hes not got out... :good:

no i havent got any other pets....this is so weird! gonna get my hands deep in the tank in a minute and go searching

He's an eel right, so therefor he will have a certain amount of mobility, check the room throughly every nook and cranny. My guess he's left the tank.

IMO most of u r over reacting.

IF he got out of the tank (I highly doubt) he wil only b 1-2 meters away from it.

If you haven' found him on the floor (it sonds like you have looked properly) then I VERY much think that he is still in your tank.

Give it a few days and he will come out by himself for food. Whilst you may have checked the gravel there is still a VERY high possibility that you missed him. Not to mention the fact that he might not be in the gravel anyway.

I have a tree root ornament in my tank and it is hollowed out by a hole in the bottom. A few of my eels hide in there and i don see them for days.

even though i double and triple checked the internal filter - ive found him lol

just got to find a way of getting him out now coz aparently he wants to stay in there! lol

Sorry guys

It is very common for eels too hide in such places. This is exactly what happened to my m8's fire eel all of the time.

I was confident that there was no need to worry. But still it is good to hear that you know where he is.
