You will be fine with 12 in a 125 gal. Especially as its 6 foot :good:

I would keep them all, then as they get bigger you may get some pairing up. If that happens then just keep the ones that pair and rehome the rest :)

If they don't pair then you will still be fine for a good few years as from what iv seen angel fish are slow growers.

Good luck :)

You've done the right in waiting to gather more opinion.

Seriously, 6ft is fine for what you have there, in my opinion.

Glad that common sense prevailed in the thread.

Thanks so much for all the opinions!! :)
I'm definitely keeping them all for now. They've all been in the same tank for the majority of their lives. They get along very well together and I'd hate to split up the group.

I'd like to keep the Featherfin Catfish alone. I bought him a month ago at adult size (hes a full bodied 6 inches or so). There were 3 others in the tank that I bought him in. The fish store owner told me that he planned on putting the one I got in a tank by himself because the other feather fin cats and cichlids in the tank were being aggressive towards him. When I bought the fella he always swam upside down... maybe to avoid the other mean cats on the bottom? Ever since he's been home he's been very active and is always friendly with my other fish. He swims less than an inch from the angels sometimes and the angels never even budge. When he's hangin out being lazy, my little loaches will even lay on him and eat off of him. My pictus catfish likes to follow him around. I feel that I have a very peaceful featherfin who seems to do better without others. The lfs guy also told me that when he had 3 or 4 that they would gang up and be very aggressive eaters... sometimes spike up and attack the other fish at feeding time. I don't know too much on how well my pictus will do alone. Seems to love swimming with my loaches and featherfin.

I took a few pictures of the tank and a video of my angelfish... Hoping to post that after work tonight :hyper:
