Today, I was doing my routeen saturday water changes.
Anyways, after my 55G was about 15% emptied, I started refilling it, using a bucket.
I accedently let the whole bucketful of water (about 4 gallons) pour out into my tank, causing a major tidle wave of gravel :X
After my fish calmed down alittle bit, I realized that my clown plec was missing!
I started moving the gravel around waiting to see a dead clown plec somewhere. After I concluded he had been lost amoungst the rouble, I ended my searches. I decided since I already smelled fishy, and need a shower anyways, i might as well do some redecoration. I moved one peice of Lava rock and low and behold, my plec had taken shelter under it!
I was very pleased.....
Anyone else have stories like this?

Whilst rearranging my tank which is a 50 uk gallon and doing water changes i took everything out ornament wise and then wondered where my plec was.
Some 3 and a half hours later as i was putting the ornaments back in, there was my plec inside one of the ornaments clinging on for dear life.
What a fright i got as i thought he must be dead but when i put it back in out he swam.

The thing is, I didn't know he cvould move that fast. I dunno if I've seen my plec move 4 inches in his life..

While my tank had a algae bloom for some reason I took my common pleco out into one of those holding containers that lps use before they put it into a bag and one morning my grandmother woke me up and said that she heard some bags rustling under my tank (i had some plastic bags under the tank to put some things in) well I heard it and got my bat in case it was a mouse and then I saw that my pleco wasn't in the holding container so I thought he must have somehow gotten back into the tank. So I searched the whole tank and he wasn't in there. Then I heard the bags rustling again so I had my bat in hand and started pulling bags out from underneath the tank stand and there was pleco floping around in a little puddle of water on the plactic bag. So I picked him up and put him back into the holding container and he had alot of dirt and dust on him so when I got back from school I put some stress coat into the holding container and he is still alive today and this happened at least a year and a half ago.

i took all my ornaments out of my tank ages ago and when rinsing one in the sink, with really cold water, one of my clown loach flopped out! he was fine though

well my guppie was missing for about two days and I was woried that he mightove jumped out or was dead somewere in the tank.
So I went to my basketball practice and after i got home i found him.
he was sucked up into the filter and shot out lol.
I couldnt figure out how he got in there?
its weird how fish find there ways of doing things. lol

I have 2 storys, one I was moving one of my ADF's, as I lifted the net out of the water witch I did with my hand over the top, she jumped through a small gap, and landed in my handbag that was on the starage heater new to the tank, if she jumped shorter she would have fell between the tank and the wall, and proberly would have died, she was fine for a couple of months then sadly died of blote.

another, I was reagranging my and took a large bit of wood out, 10 mins later my b/f called me and there was a shrimp walking across the worktop.
