Sorry guys, I know this is a long post... I just have to vent and I don't have anyone else to do it to, so here it goes....

Like, FOREVER ago, I ordered some bettas. A long, long time ago. Almost a month ago... Anyway, they were shipped to the transhipper and we had a hurricane here so the transshipper had to hold them there for me until our postal service was running again. It's been up and running since LAST Monday. I e-mailed the transhipper and let them know that it was running again. The transhipper told me that they hadn't received my payment yet (due to the hurricane). The transhipper received my payment on Thursday (including $25 for overnight shipping), and told me that they would mail my fish out to me on Tuesday because Monday was a federal holiday. (Why the transhipper couldn't send them out on Friday so that they would get to me on Saturday, I don't know.) Now while all of this is going on, I'm planning to leave town. I planned on leaving Wednesday whe n the fish got here. Wednesday, all packed and ready to go, no fish. I contacted the transhipper who said that there was a TWO day guarantee on the delivery. I was a bit bothered, but didn't say anything about it, and so I pused my leaving town back to today, when the fish were GUARANTEED to get here. 3:00 came, the mail lady came...NO FISH. I, AGAIN, contacted the transhipper, and this is the conversation that ensued:
Brooke says:
this is not good. if they don't get here today, i'll be in a bad situation... i was supposed to leave town yesterday, when i initially expected them to arrive. when you told me that it was a 2 day guarantee i was able to push my plans back another day, but if i have to wait until tomorrow now, it won't be too good
Brooke says:
do you know what happens now since they didn't get here when they were guaranteed to?
Linda says:
I don't know
TS:
Can you ask anyone else to watch for them?
Brooke says:
there is no one else
Brooke says:
my fiance is deployed to new york, and i don't know anyone else here
TS says:
are you going to be around tomorrow?
Brooke says:
it looks like i'll have to be
TS says:
it shouldn't hurt them to wait another day
Brooke says:
but it hurts me. i was supposed to be somewhere by tomorrow
Brooke says:
didn't i pay for overnight shipping, anyway?

And I've heard nothing back ever since.... I'm SO FRUSTRATED!

:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: and so would I be fuming !
Have you used these people before ? Or what sort of reputation do they have ?
Is it likely that they just took your money and you'll see no fish ?

That must be really frustrating. Hope you get things sorted out.

This is the same person that I use all the time (at least 5 times before) and I've never had a problem until now...

And now I feel worse... My little brother just called and asked "Aren't you supposed to be coming home today?" And I said "I was supposed to be..." and he said "Well, I cooked a big pot of chicken spaghetti..." My little brother went out of his way to make my favorite dinner for me, and I won't be able to be there...

That peeves me off and its not even happening to me. If this tansshipper was somewhere close to you I would drive over their, get my fish, and cuss her out until she couldn't come back with a response or if he lives to far away to drive then I'd fly over their and get my fish and kick his butt for making me miss going out of town and delaying the arrival of my fish.

Are they able to give you a tracking number so you can see what the hecks going on? If you have a tacking number you may be able to contact UPS/FedEX or whoever and see what the status is and if perhaps you can pick it up at their depo if they are there. That may save you some time.

For example, sometimes packages will be at the UPS depo here, and it will take a whole day for them to get to my house which is about 20 mins away. So going there and picking it up saves a lot of time.

Just a thought. :)

Ughhhhh! Just got off the phone with the post office... "No ma'am, we didn't get it today."

Silvani, I have the tracking number. I tracked it online and it says "Left Baton Rouge, LA at 9:24 am." I'm a 3 hour drive away from Baton Rouge, which makes this even more frustrating. You had a great idea...unfortunately, it's a no-go.

Durbkat...even if I could get to the transhippers house, the fish would not be there. They're somewhere in Louisiana, floating around in a box...

Now I have a stress headache...

Well you can still go over their and kick his a** for causing all this trouble. Thats what I'd do or I'd might go over their with a metal bat you never know. :shifty:

linda is pretty hit or miss. ive used her many many times, and all but twice went smoothly. but man, when things go wrong, they go WRONG.

I was trying not to use names, here. How'd you know?

I just remembered that she messed up with me once before, but thankfully the post office caught her mistake before my fish payed for it with their lives.

What's she do to you? (If you don't mind me asking)

Linda says:
I don't know

Just a hunch,maybe?

Aaaanyway, I've never ordered fish but I DID just get a package of show fish from Linda this morning and throughout the transaction I've found her to be very helpful and concerned over the fish. She even asked me to let her know that they were all live and well on arrival. Right now she is heavy on my mind as I sit here alone logging in fish for the show. Last time she was my sidekick and so much help to me, I told her that I miss her terribly. So, let's not bad mouth Linda. I'm sure it's out of her hands. She even held the fish for you. She shipped them, what else can she do? They've made it to LA, how's this her fault?

I know, I know, I know...I was just venting. I didn't mean to badmouth her, which is why I was trying not to use names (I guess I goofed up on that one.) I just needed to get it all of my chest because it's driving me crazy.

I'm talking to her now and she's trying to help me.

sorry about your troubles :/ I've had problems with overnight shipping as well. I had a crowntail shipped overnight from California to Washington DC and it didn't arrive till 3 days later, and I kept rushing home during my 2 hr break at work (I usually work double shifts in a restaurant) and the package was never there! When the ct finally arrived his fins were severely damaged and he was barely alive.

Hope everything works out!
