Practically perfect in every way
well i just did half an hour of my best begging to Ian but he's not shifting!!
we've really scaled back fishtanks this year and we're just left with 1 which was Ian's tank. Although it's nominally both of our tanks it does still feel like his tank and we both know that. Also both the cats we have at the moment seem to prefer getting fuss from Ian to me, the only other pet is our gecko which is really Ian's pet and definately prefers Ian to me, the vivarium's up so high I can barely see into it anyway. So I tried the 'I've got no pets anymore, i miss my fish and you've got your tank and both the cats and the gecko.... i should have something' tact but it doesn't seem to have worked.
The only compromises Ian's offered are when we finish decorating the bedroom we'll see if there's room to set up another fishtank, no good cos the fish I miss are my Oscar and Parrot fish and we definately can't find room for a tank that big anywhere in the house now. Or again when the rooms done we can look into gettng a bigger viv or another one and have another lizard..... but i'm not all that fussed about the lizard's to be honest (although I love Eddie I'm not super fussed to get another one). Or I can have a pony, providing a pay for all the care myself which I clearly can't afford.
he did offer another option actually which i won't mention as this is a family forum, i'm sure you can get the jist though!
Although after all that he did feel guilty that I was sad cos I couldn't have one, so perhaps all is not lost!
