odessa barbs anyone keep them??

hi,bought 6 of these yesterday.anyone know much about them.they look lovely,and seem to have settled in really nicely.

I bought 6 about 2 months ago and they are thriving. They are in my all barb tank with some tigers and checkered barbs. They are active and beautiful. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine.

Those are very pretty. Would those be disruptive in a community aquarium? Just wanna know...

Kept in a large enough group, they keep themselves to themselves. At least 6 fish. Not aggressive like Tiger Barbs. Nice fish.

I had a large number for a while. I was breeding them to make sure that they bred true. There is some doubt about their classification, it had been suggested they were hybrids. Normally hybrids are sterile, and if not, throw up examples of their original species. I never found that to happen, they always bred true.
