I agree with Blondie! Odd numbers when you're dealing with small numbers. Sort of like roses, they say uneven numbers look better for those too!

I have a touch of OCD so I would have to get an even number

Thankfully Flutter and I equal each other out! LOL

I believe odd numbers work better with fish, not sure why, they just do!!

That said... with an OCD or two (diagnosed) I can't stand odd numbers!! That includes having to touch things twice/or with both hands/feet etc LOL did have hand washing problem as well but 5 years working with fish and now nobody notices!! ;)

Needless to say.. I buy 6 fish, one dies and I have sleepless nights until I can get another one!!

MBOU, you do realize many say that the minimum school size is 5 specimens right?  Many others say it's 6 of a particular type of fish.  That should help with your OCD on that subject anyway...............lol

Cherry Barbs are shoalers that rarely school if at all.  Most sources say to keep them with more males than females, specifically 1:2 ratio, while others claim they're best kept in pairs.  In other words there's no definitive answer so just go with the flow ------><>

Nearly every type of fish in my tank s an odd number.

That's cause you're odd.

Don't worry I voted for "odd" also, since "even" is so conformist................
