I bought a female Dalmatian Molly in October or November and she had fry about a week after I got her. But she hasn't had any fry since then. I have two males in the tank as well as three other females, so I don't understand, I just think she's a bit picky or something. Does anyone else have a molly who hasn't liked her options and refuses to breed? :p
She's never gained weight or anything as if she were pregnant so I assume she's never been with any other fishy other than the one who got her at the pet store lol.
I just thought she was odd because mollies are supposed to be prolific breeders :p

Maybe she's too old. Not sure what happens to mollies when they get old, but female swordtails seem to turn into males once they stop giving birth.

Most likely you just have not seen the fry. After a female mates with a male, she will continue to drop fry for the next 3-9 months even if she does not mate again. It is also very unlikely that the males have not mated with that specific female. If she is old, she may be too old to breed, but I think that it is more common that a female will keep dropping larger batches of fry until she dies during birthing. Most adult mollies should reach at least 4 inches long, and some may grow as large as 6 inches or longer.
