ok i just been sat down watch my fish, and two of my rosy barb are acting strange by strange i mean, sort of chasing/attacking each other. they chase each other and peck at each other back, it hard to explain. its the first time they done it. i will try to get it on video later.

i was just wondering if this is normal behavior and if so why are they doing it. i have 5 rosy barb in my tank, along with
  • 2 keyhole cichlids
  • 2 gold gourami
  • 2 angelish
  • 6 platy
  • 3 swordtail
  • 2 molly

oh and i am 95% sure they are all female rosy barb, if this has anything to do with it.

thank you

I have two rosey barbs, no idea what sex but this is normal behavior to them as far as I know. Mine have never ended up with injury or nipped fins & they chase each other so I've always assumed it's just a game or some sort or courtly behavior...I'm sure an expert will give u a better answer then me

my seem to chase each other all the time its lovely to watch. the two have seem to calmed down now no swimming in very tight circles, trying to get each other. i wounder if it was a dominance thing coz they are the two largest rosy barb in the tank. mmm
