Hello,

I have weird algae growing on the glass, powerheads, backboard etc etc.

I can't get a picture of it because my phone is crap. D500 2004 Retro.

Anyway...

They are small very dark green/black balls with black fur/hair on the side that isnt stuck to a surface. It is very hard to scrub off too. Seem's to multiply rapidly when exposed to sunlight.

Can anyone identify this and let me know it effect, how to prevent it and if its harmful to my fish.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Sounds like Hard 'green dot' algae
Won't harm your fish but will proberly require a flat razor blade to remove.

Keith.
