Evening All,

I've just been given a Hydor Prime 10 external filter, which was very generous of the person concerned. However, the beast has been sat in a garage for a while and is pretty dried up. As a good engineer, I've stripped it down, cleaned it out and have replaced every o-ring I can find.

My question is, what grease is safe to use in a filter, that does not affect fish? B.P. Jelly? food grade lubricant?

I'd love to hear your suggetsions. :)

I've been using petroleum jelly on my canister seals for years without any problems fish wise or leakage wise.
