I'm glad I asked these questions. Looks like I could save a few bucks thanks to everyone. Can someone please send my a link for diy C02 system with a detailed discription on how to do it all?

Hi, try this www.qsl.net/w2wdx/aquaria/diyco2.html it's fairly deep but will answer many questions. A word of warning - secure the canister securley as my 2 year old tipped mine over pumping its contents into the tank with near death consequences. It seems fish do not like a yeast/sugar/alcohol mix ! - although oddly it wiped out my hair algae problem !
