I just installed a Nutrafin co2 unit and Im pretty sure its not working. Ive never used co2 with my plants before and have no idea how long it should take to react. This is the second time Ive setup the unit. The first time I followed the directions, left it for 48 hrs and nothing. Still had a small amount of water in the line on the tank side so it obviously hadnt produced enough pressure to vacate the water. Re-setup the unit again after washing it out. Now after 24 hrs I still have no reaction. I figured by now I should have seen something happening but not a single bubble.

I used sugar to the first line, then put in the 2 pouches and added luke warm water (stirred). Placed cap back on and made sure it was tight. I checked the air line by blowing on it, no problems there. Not sure whats going on. Can anyone help?

Thanks

You are better of using your own mixture content than the ones you get with the kit.
I fill with sugar to the first line, add one teaspoon of fast acting yeast (i use hovis one from tesco), and fill with warm water to just below (about one cm) the top of the ridges that go up the inside of the cannister.
Mine starts bubbling fast after five minutes and lasts a week. If you get yeast in the tank add a little less yeast and water. I did the first few times though not much. Remember to keep an eye on it at first. Hope that helps you.
