Imagine waking up at night and seeing a bunch of them crawling up the glass door. Or walking outside at night after it has rained and stepping on one. All that snail slime between the toes.

On a serious note, It's a real concern about the rat lungworm they carry that causes meningitis.

I'm amazed they aren't spotted more readily considering how big they get. They must breed at a small size.
