What the heck do you think it is? My Potter's Angel died from it and I think the Potter's brought it in. What do you think?

hi kj

potters angels are very prone to diseases i have not been able to keep them over 3-5 months

it looks like velvet i would treat with oodinex asap

regrads scott

Thanks Scott. I was leaning toward crypt since it can make a fish loose color also. I'm now thinking velvet too. With as bad as it was covered last night, I just left it. It's swimming upside down this morning. Probably a good thing I left it instead of throwing it in w/my healthy wrasse in the QT.

Now I don't know what to do about the goby. I can't treat it with copper since it can't handle it. To little copper, it's not effective anyway....

If the goby makes it then the velvet can potentially have a host and I can't leave my tank fallow. That goby is my last fish. I'll have to take out all the rocks and drain half the tank just to catch him and then I don't have anywhere to put him.

does oodinex have copper?

Do you have a backup qt tank? Can a LFS hold it for you? Anyone local?

Sorry to hear about your disease outbreak!

Oh no, not the picasso clown - things are not going well at teh moment for you - certainly looks like velvet to me as well

yea at this point the only fish left for me will be the yasha goby.

I've lost around $300(including a few shipping fees that it took to get the fish to me) in livestock since April of this year. Grrr.

I just don't' know what to do w/the goby. I can't treat it...

Hi kj i would stick the goby in the qt tank and treat the main display tank did the clown make throw the night

regards scott

There's no way I'm treating my DT scott. I have some corals in there as well as my $50 red banded pistol shrimp

The clown is still alive at 12pm.

well treat it or not but its going to get worst before it gets better i would qt the fish you have and do a mega water change i cant belive this has happend to you you qt the fish and i caant figure out how this happend do you use any sprase near the tank

regards scott

It happened b/c I didn't hold the Potter's Angel long enough in QT :) My fault entirely.

Maybe I'll just focus on corals instead of fish...
