Whats your actual stocking int here?

3x white cloud minnow (will be 6x by the end of the day), about 30 pond snails, 10 replete ramshorns(after eating everything in sight) and last but not least 8x assorted goldfish (one with a "shark" fin as it was damaged when he was a fry!

All from my pond except from the minnows(jollyes) and 1 shubunkin (pets at home)

I'll be the odd one out and say that I liked it more before. There's nothing wrong with overgrown tanks; they make fish feel secure; I'd have agoraphobia now if I was a fish in your tank (although goldies are probably too stupid to get agoraphobia, lol!).

Not really, all they do now is hide at the back between the boat and the plant pot for a quick nap, otherwise they never hide in daylight! (Come night though, they are nowhere to be seen!)


Actually, i may have spoke too soon really!, i now have a shoal of 8 minnows (one of which im not too sure about though).

I tried that and they just came out of the gravel pretty much the day after.

Yeah, anacharis is like that. You have to bury it as deep as you can. You can even bury it a bit at an angle and use the gravel above to hold it in place. You could also bury it as a bunch with the lead still in place. That will weigh it down so that it stays in place.

actually, i think its elodea. just that at the mo (well, i have a piece of algae (looks like a windswept poplar tree) clinging onto a rock and slowly growing)
