Now And Then Photos...

Hmmm, I might get some more jungle vallis to try again at the back? And maybe a bit of pygmy chain sword for the front? I'd get some easy carbo too to add alongside my own ferts, maybe they wouldn't die then.

I've just been looking at photos of my tank before I left it to go to pot and fortunately it has made me more determined to make it look better and to get it back on track. It truly is a state now, as you can see in the recent photo...

It does look more 'natural' I guess but in my mind it just looks dull and boring... and dirty!
Hi i like the first photo better, IMO i would pull out the plants as there just in a clump, the moss looks dead m8 and IMO you want to see the bog wood
i also hate the playsand ive removed it from my tank,
sorry its only IMO

see what plants you can rescue and spend a hour or two re planting it and i think it will look much better... :good:

im off to hide now...

Ahahh, no it's okay :)
The Java Moss isn't dead, it just needed a good grasp with my pincettes and a shake - looks better now :D

As for re-planting, the only plants I have left are the java fern so I think I'm going to get some background plants and some EasyCarbo.. the price is just putting me off a little bit. £19 when the £4.45 postage is added! And that's only for 2 plants!

I actually would like to see my wood again, I'll have to have a play and get rid of some of the java fern tomorrow :)

can the java not go to the back as its got some hight add some wood/rock to the front maybe clear some of the wood just a thought :good:

It probably could, somehow...

It has to be attached to something though so it would be kinda hard ahahh. Might just leave it as it is, hmmmmmm....

I need to get myself some scissors or something just for my tank.

You mentioned vallis and liquid CO2. I can grow vallis, albeit slowly for some reason (except in one tank I had when it went berserk, I think I tend to end up drowning it in other heavy planting), so am not the best advisor on vallis, but it has a bad reputation with liquid carbon sources.

I think it looks good, but there is too much sand in it (imo), if it were me, id take a load out so its not pushed up against the glass

Hmmm, it doesn't really bother me and it gives room for sucking a bit up when cleaning :p I suppose there is a little too much though :)
