Nothing to see here.... Just testing.

Your fish look great but to be honest i think its cruel to keep fish in little tanks like them, they need more space to swim around in, i know there's plenty of people in this forum that keep betta's in small tanks but in my opinion its cruel.

This is Vega, a wild copper splendens/imbellis mix. He's small, but very brave. He has more heart than some, right Tugboat?
niiiccee itty :D
i'm waiting on pins and needles myself to see if marianne brings me back some wild imbellis from las vegas like she said she would....looks like you got a new camera too, congrats ;)
edit* those coppers are pretty tough eh? yesterday mine jumped out of a little crack between tank and canopy about 4 1/2 feet straight down to hardwood floor. lucky my wife was at home and saved him in time. he was a little stunned for most of the day but later on he was flaring for his girl just like normal. ;)

They were only put in a small container for the shot because I cannot afford to chase them around in their larger tank. I prefer close-ups and the tanks they are kept in may be bare - very clean, but bare, but it's hard to corner them in such a large space. Which is easier: catching a live chicken running all over a football field or catching a live chicken in a closet? Especially Tugboat, he runs away no matter what, so I put him in a Beanie-baby container to control his movement for the shots. :)

Some say it's cruel to keep clowns & balas in anything less than a 100 gallon tank since their full grown length is around 12" ,I have to agree with them ;)

ibb, why ya turning down nominations? I was going to nominate the first pic

Thanx, but no thanx. I'm just testing these out, the lighting, flash, modes. Besides, I just like to post for my own enjoyment and it's a big bonus of others enjoy them, too. I'm not looking for a pat on the back, I just want to be able to take good pictures. :)

One time at Petland Discounts (28th St & 3rd Ave) they had this GORGEOUS(!!!) halfmoon, but I passed it up because I didn't have room at the time. Always check because a lot of these stores get nice ones from time to time.

That Azoo tank is great! You just gotta add your own gravel and stuff - I won't recommend artificial plants if you are going to keep a betta in there - and 2 outlets for the filter plug and the lighting. It takes up a space that measures about 7" x 7" and is about a foot high with the light.

Great pics itty :)

I'm in awe of Rocket's flaring.

LMAO at Banner-II's dance from Spain

Congratulations on getting the camera, Itty Bitty Betta

You have some truly spectacular bettas there.

All I can say is freshmike better watch out, here comes Itty Bitty Betta! :kana:

Beautiful fish =)

I can't wait my next visit to our capital, Helsinki. There's some cool bettas, or so I was told. More, more, I want more bettas. B)

At least 4 of my boys are moving away then. They are now almost 5 months old and ready to start their own lives away from mommy... So what else could I do but get a new boy or two to cheer me up ;)

I wish we had halfmoons here. That first one looks so awesome.
