Yesterday I bought a trio of Crown tail betta 's , I've started feeding plenty of life food to get them into breeding condition.

For the past seven days both male and female have been well fed on live foods i have put the female in a jar the male is showing interest towards female.

he should start building a bubble nest very soon.

I released the female from jar. and they have since spawned . i removed the female from tank and the male is now looking after eggs in bubble nest

Today male busy picking up and spitting babies back in bubble nest

first foods paramecium and boiled egg yolk. vinegar eels and micro worms and brine shrimps when i have available.

The male blows bubbles at the surface and makes a big frothy mound that he keeps the eggs in

Holy smokes, those worms look longer than the fish is! They really eat such large food?? And I've been worrying about overfeeding mine with pellets...

Problem with floating pellets is they expand after swallowed, along with air. Soaking them first helps a lot IMHO
