An hour ago I looked in my tank as I often do, and here was one of the trillis I had gotten a few days ago, inches from the top of the tank, motionless, head pointing toward the ground. Thought he was dead for sure. So I grabbed my dowel and touched him, and he moved, so not dead. But then he just started floating around, actually looking like he was drunk. Did a couple somersaults, twirled around, and finally landed on the bottom right side up. So I thought it best to set up my hospital tank quickly, which I did. I have a bunch of extra filter media in my filters for just this purpose. Got the tank all set up, went to retrieve said trilli, and couldn't find him. Not that he's lost, but I think he's swimming around with everybody else! Could that be possible?

stats are ammonia = 0, nitrite = 0 and nitrate I'm still waiting on , but looks in the low range which is all typical for this tank.

Temporary insanity?

Well I just don't know. I can't single him out from all that I have in there, so I guess that's a good thing. I'm really hoping not to find him plastered against the filter intake in the morning.

O dear,i hope it'll be ok,if there is a problem it may do it again...could be possible swim bladder, might be worth feeding them cooked de-shelled peas on their next feed :good:

I had 4 peppered corys that use to do that when i first bought them, within 2 days one died and the 3 others looked poorly,i did take them back to the store, the tank they were in was bursting with peppers when i bought them, but when i went back they were all gone  ,but they still wouldn't admit they had a problem, normally they dont take any fish back so makes me wonder.....

I hope your tri is ok :good:

This happened to me earlier this week. One of my bronze corys was laying on top of a rock completly upside down, his gills weren't moving and he looked dead. I went to get the net, came back and he was swimming around completely fine.

Good grief. I hope this doesn't happen regularly, or MY breathing will stop!

The trilli seems just fine today. Keeping the hospital tank primed just in case, though.
