thas cool, i remember on holiday on a caravan site people used to leave food and water under their caravans for the fox's they were everywhere, even out in the day

Wow, that's so cool! We feed the foxes in the garden, but not like that, we just leave food out for them. Its nice to see someone else caring about foxes, because most of our neighbours hate them, they say they poop all over the place and dig holes in their gardens, lies(heh, our cat actually does that more than the foxes). Some of my neighbours hate them because they are scared of them  . Foxes lived in this country right where our houses were built waaaay before us, so what right do we have to exterminate them(as some of our neighbours threaten to do, but are too cheap to actually call the 'pest control' guy   .

it would be sweet to have a pet fox. but i wouldnt do it unless i had a big yard and didnt care about them digging

not wanting to bring everyone down but please be careful - they are wild animals, not suggesting that people should stop feeding them but just trying to suggest people keep a healthy level of respect for them as something with teeth.

:)

Wow, that's so cool!! We have foxes here in Texas but rarely see them. It's so neat that your dad can get so close to them and got pics! They are beautiful animals

aww love foxes...beautiful animals

Cute pics, and adorable foxes. I love them; they're such clever little canines. Thanks for sharing the cute photos!
Though, I agree that it is a bad idea to feed any wild animal. It makes them too used to humans, which increases the chance of attacks (from or against them!); reduces proper prey-seeking behavior; forms a dependancy on humans; increases the risk of zoonotic diseases for people and pets; and concentrates too much of one species in one place simultaneously, which increases the chance of diseases being spread. We have had huge issues with communicable bird diseases in our area because everyone leaves out seed, so large concentrations of birds are exposed to disease all at once if just one bird among them is contageous. :( And the feeders actually attracted sick birds to begin with since they were desperate enough to get close to humans as they couldn't forage on thier own.

when i was a kid, i desperately wanted a pet fox. but i had to settle for cats as the next best thing. :p

i have to say ditto with RandomWiktor, though. maybe just feed every other day or something. (although doesn't it just break your heart to see hungry beasties?)
