What is the cory? Never seen one like him.

which one? i have 2 species... tried getting the most contrasting variations. i have c. sterbai (the dark ones with white spots, and red fins) and c. schwartzi (white with black spots).
the sterbais were like £6 each!

great idea about 2 BGK's together :good: never thought about it before and i've never seen 2 together. is that safe?
i wish i could get 2, i don't really have the space for this beast and feel guilty everytime i seem him looking for somewhere new to hide. once i up grade i might move this one on and get 2 new babies, see how that goes.

I really like the cory in the 2nd picture. I think the Black Ghost Knifes are ok together, better go read up on that one though because I want two if possible. I seen a lovely cory on the internet called a green lazer cory. Not sure where I seen it but it looked great!

BGK

This person says they have 2 together. I did hear they can eat small fish. I used to house mine with small neons but none ever went missing. Great personality fish, I'd love to get one to eat out my hand!

none of my fish have ever gone missing and i've got 2 otos in there with it and a hill stream loach which lives pretty much right on top of it.
i think people assume it's a fish eater because it's a knife fish but i don't know.

the cory in the second pic is a schwartzi. they're a cheap corydoras, about £3-£4 where as the green laser corydoras would cost about £15 per fish.
it'd be great having about 8 of them, 4 being green lasers and 4 being orange lasers lol

I like the look of your cory. I wouldn't mind a few of them but never seen them down here. I have 4 Panda cory's in one tank which I really like.

I've never actually heard anyone say their BGK have eaten fish or they have seen it I remember reading about someone suspecting the BGK eating their neons. I love how they swim...

I love how they swim...

ha! me too! it scares me sometimes when it's resting because it just lounges around upside down n all sorts lol

Yeah mine done exactly the same. I've got some big fish in the tank but when anyone came round that doesn't know much about the fish, they would be taken in by the BGK. I wonder if they have been breed in captivity.
