Not Good

I have used the plastic bottle with the top cut and inverted , so there is like a funnel going in. Put food inside; skip feeding. Do be available to keep an eye on it. I caught 11 baby pandas that way the other day, along with 2 ADF, a cockatoo male, some sparklers, a honey, some pygmy cories, and a sampling of every other fish in the tank. Match the size of the funnel to the size of fish.

And I didn't have to xhase anyone around with a net or teqar the tank apart. :)

I bow in the glory that is Jollysue! I am unworthy.

But it's so much more fun destroying a tank and running around with nets and fish flying in the air! You're just a party pooper. Your method is far too easy and useful. Darlink, you must suffer for you art!

Well, either the bottle method, or a method I thought up (no idea whether it'd work or tear the tank to bits anyway. Get a powerhead, put the net over the output (so its in position), turn it on and *hopefully* catch the danios in one scoop. But I normally just end up tearing the tank apart  Why do I pick fish that are a nighmare to catch?

The monkey and the jar trick works best on the inquisitive fish. They are the first in the jar after the "banana." After awhile some fellows will catch on, but if they are skipping a meal and there are some frozen blood worms, even freeze dried, or bbs or really anything if they are hungry, you will with time catch everything in the tank.

It's really not as stressful and no need to ever use the net.

I've caught my WCMMS by just resting the net in the tank near the surface. Eventually, being stupid (lol), they get curious enough to swim over top of the net to investigate... then it's a simple upwards swoop to catch them. The drawback is that you can usually only snag one at time this way and it takes patience, but it's better than tearing everything apart I guess.
