NOT fish but NEWTS!!

I don't want to loose them! I want to give them a better home, I think we are getting our wires crossed here, the pond they are in is loosing gallons every day, I'm topping up the pond every night, this cannot be good, what I need to no is if a fiber glass pond liner is ok, and can I run a pump to filter the water?

I wonna keep them in the garden! all these laws seem to apply with trading and relocation, I'm sure giving them a new pond can only be good, I mean! if I don't do something it WILL drain away and dry out, it's that bad, :-( I've only had the house for three weeks or so, and will not be moving in for about three months, it needs work  lots of it, the pond is a minor issue to what I need to do, because its leaking I need to sort it asap!

cheers for feedback so far

I think your best option is to use a butyl liner.

a preformed pond is a bastard to fit basically!.

take your dimensions down to your local pond shop and the will be able to give you a quote on a liner, don't go for the cheap stuff on a pond that size though, it's not worth the saving in the long run. just give them the length, width and depth and they will work it out from there.

if you can get the depth of the pond then we'll be able to help you make a choice on what pump and filter you will need.
