He may be marginally bigger than 2cm but really not by much, he is still a tiny little guy. He has been tentatively identified as an Orange Fingered Yabby Cherax depressus complex. Within this group there is 5 recognised species so he could still be C. wasselli or C. cairnsensis. Although to me he is still looking  a bit like a rainforest yabby

Just snapped some new pictures of my little north Queensland yabby, she only shed yesterday but you can see she has grown quite a bit from her first photos.

Thats a really nice yabby you have there Baccus.  Sooooooo cute and delicate unlike my red claw which looks like the incredible hulk.....big boofy thing it is.  But hey she is well behaved, doesn't eat the fish or plants....so I can't complain.  It would be nice if you could get your hands on another cutie like yours.

She certainly is a little sweetie, what I would really love to get my hands on are some dwarf yabbies also called swamp yabbies they are tiny, but from memory so far only discovered around Brisbane.
Well you know where I got this little one from, so a trip one weekend for you is always possible

I am hoping that she/he stays around the 7cm mark. then it will be the perfect yabby for aquaria, and if its an orange claw yabby apparently they are fairly easy to raise in tanks.

Sadly for me to get more its a 13hr one way drive over some pretty shocking roads (even though its our national high way). Unless BetterisBetta can get me a couple more I might only have the one little yabby for quite some time.
