The cat doesn't need to be shut away at all. As long as the tank has a lid then it will be fine.

hey im really not having a go at you :good: if you see my thread on this section you can see that im just as guilty for allowing my pup to get to something before i could realize it so i do understand, im sorry if i came across that way it wasnt intended.

Sorry Modaz, not aimed at you and you didn't come across as as being anything other than polite. ;)

The cat? As you made it clear in your other thread, mammals need room to run. So why secure the cat, who can run free, when you could secure the cages, which animals in them cannot go beyond the bar without being taken out?

Why is everyone jumping on the cat, its just an animal following its instincts you can't penalize it when it wasn't aware that it was doing anything worng, geez. Mistakes happen, end of story, RIP norris, I'm sure you were loved very much!

Um, no. Secure the lids to your enclosures. Problem solved.

:rip: Norris :(
Secure the cat elsewhere - cat can still knock it down and break it open etc... Better to crate the cat or levae it oustide...
Hope you don't own cats. I had to secure a kitten I fostered in one room because my cat wanted to literally kill her. I had to do that for a month, and only got to let her out when I was home to supervise. She destroyed that room. They don't like being confined to a small area, get bored no matter how many toys you supply, and get destructive. She has a good home now where she can roam, thank goodness, so it was worth it.

Secure the effing container, PROBLEM SOLVED. I put my tarantula and scorps on the floor when I am out of the apartment or asleep now because they have been knocked off the table before, which can cause the lids to pop off. Obviously that was not a secure situation, so I fixed the problem, and nobody is suffering for it as would be the case with confining the cats... they AND I would suffer from that!

sell the cat...
shoot the cat...

You can't be serious. Think. Is it the cat's fault. No. I certainly am not critisizing the author, but it was his fault.
It is the cat's fault along with the owner. Cats can be trained to leave certain things alone.

Instincts or not, if you train the cat it won't do it.

I do not own cats, I dislike cats very much. Not everyone can leave these containers on the floor, or it is even more hazardous to do so. Removing the cat is the best way.

You really are a class act t1tanrush!
Considering you don't own a cat, I would be very interested in hearing how you train a cat to not follow it's instincts!?

Tell me... have you ever tried to train a cat? Try to put some thought into things before you suggest things. If you actually owned a cat, you'd know you could train some and couldn't train some... but you don't... so shush about the matter. I personally think, unless you own the animal or read about it, you should be quiet. Any person with a heart wouldn't crate a cat... but maybe you don't fall into that category.

T1tan just likes the attention he gets when he says something absurd such as its the cats fault for trying to eat it. If you look at his posts, he is always starting arguments. Just ignore him.
