Is this normal Oscar behavior - my Oscar named Mint, goes up to my convicts and turns on his side and flares, is this normal or some kind of scaring tactic.
I tried to get a pic but he just blends into the back of the tank.
Why does he turn on his side? He's completely horizontal.
Any ideas?

my male convict does txis witx xlory as a sixn of submission, and my firemoutx does it durinx feedinx time for intimidation. Dont txink its anytxinx to worry about, none txe less.

It sounds like normal oscar behaviour to me. My son's oscar does it; as well as headstands and tail stands. And jumping up and banging the condensation tray when he wants feeding. And pulling horrible faces at the catfish and the water change bucket.

Have you checked the water parameters just in case though? Is he eating well and otherwise healthy? If yes to all those, I wouldn't worry.

Yep the water parameters are fine, hes eating like an oscar Lol, and he's very healthy.
I thought it was submission at first but hes going up to them and doing it, I think its really freaking my convicts out because they seem to back down.
