Noooooo! The Heron Has Been...... :(

Normally, am right on top of the evil heron.  Went away for the weekend and forgot to put my heron net back across the pond (it comes at 5.30am...., I know......) and have come back and its left it's gross oily yuckness on the top of the pond and taken one of my pregnant females, as well as one of last year's juveniles   
 
Am so annoyed with myself!  :,(

I used to have a pretty large pond with comet goldfish and koi in it. Our heron snacked on all the beautiful white golds (we thought they looked like ghosts) as well as one of my favorite koi. Actually one morning my dad and I were having a cup of coffee, when the heron swooped down, stole a white goldfish, and started flying away. My dad screamed at the bird, threw his coffee cup (it shattered), and scared the heron so badly he dropped his breakfast back into the pond. The fish was alright, even after a fairly long fall.

O man that sucks! I don't have heron but I have a family of raccoons that come and try to eat my Pygmy sunfish! I know the feeling. It sucks.
